Rooftop Deck Made For Family – Lincoln Park, Chicago

These grandparents had their grandchildren in mind when they came to us for an updated rooftop. They wanted a comfortable entertainment space to enjoy playing together outdoors or relaxing in front of an episode of Bluey. 

We created a more private and aesthetically pleasing space for family fun with several upgrades. We began by creating a comfortable shade space by installing a veranda with a beadboard ceiling and a pergola for sunlight. Two lighting focal points are in the pergola area with strand and recessed lighting, and the privacy screen is separated by a planter of illuminated grasses. 

The wet bar boasts porcelain countertops, stainless steel sink, storage, and an outdoor refrigerator. The powder coated metal fire pit sits ready for fall evenings while the extended turf area gives the kids a dynamic play area.
